Communication and self-knowledge help us mature into our full potential.

After a life filled with challenges and learning by trial and error, I decided an unexamined life is not worth living.

My career in counseling began late in life at the age of 45. I went back to school and received a Master’s Degree from Duquesne University majoring in Psychology with an emphasis on Existential Phenomenology.

Along the way I have especially gained experience and knowledge in men’s issues, the dynamics of relationships and the motives behind our choices.

I am most aware of gender differences in a relationship and the recreation of unresolved internal issues and the way they play out in the life of the couple.

Existentialism, in a therapeutic perspective, emphasizes attentive authentic living, the truth of human existence, our choices and our responsibilities. We view challenges and paradoxes; we consider the entire context of your life - meaning and value - and the identity we choose to create.

Authentic living is a maturity we can choose to grow into through self-realization and experience.
